I began class by giving an overview on three ways we can classify the causes of the Civil War: political, economic, and social causes. See PowerPoint below.

Students then had approximately 20 minutes to research a few of the different causes of the Civil War, recording their information on the Civil War Events graphic organizer.

I then gave students the rest of class to work on their study guides and study for the test.
Homework is:
1- If you were not in class you need to work on the graphic organizer for around 20 minutes.
