At the beginning of class we collected Friday's homework, which was the paragraph on the Roanoke Colony. We then discussed the possible reasons for the disappearance of the colony.
Next, students took notes on the Popham and Jamestown colonies. (see last week's blogs for PowerPoint attachment)
Next, we read a quick article about the Popham and Jamestown colonies. Students then answered questions about the reading (I will post this if I am able).
We then introduced the topic of Pocahontas.
For homework, students need to read the article "Point of View- Pocahontas" and answer the first question only on the back of the sheet.
