At the beginning of class students worked on the last page of their Declaration of Independence packet.  They analyzed the last paragraph of the Declaration where Jefferson declared the freedom of the colonies.  There are two questions to answer.  Then, there are two overreaching questions on the back about the Declaration.  To answer #3 on the overreaching questions, students will need to read the first two paragraphs of the Declaration of Independence (see Friday's lesson for attachment.)

Next, we watched the "Story of Us" from approximately minutes 45-103.

As they watched the video they recorded information about the battler for New York onto the Analyzing the Revolutionary War organizer (#17).

Homework is:

1- Finish the Declaration of Independence "Declaration of Freedom and overreaching Questions"

2- Read pages 193-199 in the textbook.  Fill in information on the Analyzing the Revolutionary War handout on ovals #1-4.  Write outside the ovals if necessary.
